Each chair is constructed in solid oak, with the back uprights terminating in a distinctive notched, peaked profile above a gently arched top rail — a recognisable detail of Kjærnulf's seating for Nyrup.

The legs are turned with bold, stacked ring detailing and joined by square-section stretchers, giving the chairs a substantial, sculptural presence typical of Danish Brutalist design.

Seats and backs are upholstered in striped olmerdug wool, alternating bands of navy, slate blue, mustard and cream, finished throughout with a hand-set brass nailhead trim.

The oak has a warm honey tone with a straight, open grain, and the turning and shaping to the legs and uprights are crisp and consistent across the set.
