Standing at 10.5 inches tall, this elegant, elongated ovoid vase features a rich, deep magenta-red ground beautifully decorated with historical Italian Renaissance or medieval court figures.One side features a meticulously hand-painted portrait of a nobleman in traditional tunic and holding a floral blossom. The reverse side features a noblewoman in an intricate patterned gown holding a ceremonial orb. The figures are separated by large, elaborate white and black sgraffito-style palmette and floral motifs, with a geometric ringed collar and foot.The interior is finished in a clean white glaze, and the underside is fully hand-signed with the authentic "Volpi Deruta" maker's mark and painter's symbol. A striking, highly decorative statement piece that perfectly complements Grandmillennial, Eclectic, or Hollywood Regency interior design.
