Late 19th-century French Empire bouillotte lamp dating to circa 1890, featuring a distinctive three-arm candelabra form with a green tole-painted adjustable shade that can be raised or lowered to control the direction of the light.
The lamp is topped with an elegant cast bronze swan finial and features decorative wax-drip-style candelabra stems. Three candelabra-size bulb sockets accommodate smaller candelabra bulbs, while a turn switch is located on the electrical cord. The lamp has also been recently rewired.
With its sculptural bronze details, classic French Empire styling, and distinctive adjustable tole-painted shade, this antique bouillotte lamp makes an elegant accent for a traditional, French, or European-inspired interior.
