The backrest is constructed with a beautiful carved pierced shield shaped inlaid motif backsplat design. The backsplat is held by a double upper rail, and single lower rail, and held between two side carved rails, which are adorned with inlaid details.

The chair has a low comfortable sprung cream light blue floral upholstered seat that has a matching brocade boarder. The upholstery is in great condition with minor signs of markings. There are historical marks to the brocade boarder (see photographs).

Standing proudly on two turned, fluted front legs, and curved back legs, that are all finished with smooth rolling castors. To the sides of the chair are inlaid rails.

This exquisite Edwardian Nursing Chair is sure to impress in a period home bedroom or lounge setting.

Overall, this chair is in great antique condition with minor signs of use and veneer wear to the backrest, as to be expected from an item with age (see photographs).
There is a historical crack to the top and right side of the inlaid splatback, but this has no structural affect (see photograph).
