Rare green and white Lucinelle wall lamp designed by Jean-Pierre Vitrac for Co&Co in France during the 1970s.
The design transforms the familiar shape of a ladybug into an ingenious piece of Space Age lighting. Two independently movable plastic wings open to reveal the white diffuser, altering both the silhouette of the object and the distribution of light.
Lucinelle can be mounted on a wall or used as a table lamp. Its combination of molded plastic, vivid colour and playful interaction makes it a distinctive example of experimental French design from the 1970s.
This green and white version offers a particularly graphic interpretation of the design and is presented in excellent vintage condition with minor signs of age.
