Part of Stonehill’s desirable Stateroom range, this circular coffee table is a particularly elegant example of British Mid-Century Modern design. The table combines a substantial rounded teak frame with an inset clear glass centre, allowing the architectural underframe to remain fully visible.

Beneath the glass, four gracefully tapered legs flow into a striking cross-braced central support, creating sweeping curved openings around the base. The construction gives the table an exceptionally light and sculptural appearance despite its generous 88 cm diameter.

The broad circular surround displays particularly attractive teak grain, with the individual sections carefully arranged around the circumference to emphasise the shape and craftsmanship of the piece.

The original “Stateroom by Stonehill” maker’s label remains present, confirming its provenance.

This example has undergone an extensive restoration, carefully reviving the timber and finish while preserving the distinctive construction and character of the original design. The rich teak tones now contrast beautifully with the clear glass centre and flowing sculptural base.
