The sideboard is … Read more A striking fully restored Beautility “Beehive” sideboard, combining distinctive British mid-century design with generous and practical storage.

The sideboard is distinguished by its sculptural central drawer arrangement, with overlapping fronts creating the characteristic stepped “beehive” appearance. Four central drawers are flanked by two spacious cupboards, each fitted with an internal shelf. The upper drawer includes a divided, felt-lined interior suitable for cutlery, serving pieces or smaller accessories.

The exterior has been carefully sanded and refinished to revive the richly figured timber and bring out its warm, varied grain. Fine brass linear detailing runs across the cupboard doors and upper drawer, while new solid-brass, mid-century-style handles have been fitted to complement the original design.

The tapered legs have been finished in satin black, with matching black accents applied along the upper edges of the lower drawer fronts. These subtle additions emphasise the sideboard’s layered construction while giving the piece a refined contemporary character.
