made of glazed ceramic, the vase has a very full, ovoid shape, almost spherical at the base, then tapering towards a small neck. Its ivory surface, enlivened by a fine crackle, features a continuous design of highly stylized flowers in shades of orange, bright green, dark green, and black, punctuated with gilt details.

the design combines simplified floral motifs, flowing lines, and geometric accents, characteristic of the decorative language of french art deco between the two world wars. The black radiating motif around the neck further accentuates the piece's graphic composition.

the base bears the mill mark "orchies," the model number 900, and the inscription "made in france." this piece has an attribution mark,
