The ruler is crafted from vegetable-based natural resin material, giving it a warm creamy tone, smooth surface, and beautifully substantial feel in the hand. Across the face are a series of finely detailed French fleur-de-lis appliqués, fashioned in silver of at least 800 fineness, creating an elegant contrast against the pale body. Fine graduated markings run neatly along the edge, while the repeated fleur-de-lis motifs transform an everyday writing instrument into a decorative object worthy of display.
