The design combines polished cylindrical chrome housings with deeply textured molded-glass diffusers. When illuminated, the sculpted glass captures, refracts and multiplies the light, creating a distinctive jewel-like effect while maintaining the restrained geometry characteristic of German modernist design.

The compact vertical form gives the P105 an almost architectural quality. Installed together, the pair works beautifully over a kitchen island, bar, console or bedside tables, while their relatively small scale also allows them to be used individually.

Staff Leuchten produced some of Germany’s most innovative lighting of the 1960s and 1970s, frequently combining metal, glass and emerging manufacturing techniques to create fixtures that bridged Mid-Century Modernism and the developing Space Age aesthetic.
