Mid Century Modern Art Vannes France Large Sculptural Clear Crystal Splash Vase.

A striking and substantial vintage French crystal vase by Art Vannes / Vannes, France.

This dramatic sculptural vessel features a heavy clear crystal body with pronounced vertical optic ribs that rise into an exuberant freeform crown of elongated, pulled points.

The thick crystal beautifully refracts and distorts light, giving the vase a fluid, almost frozen-water appearance from every angle.

The underside bears the VANNES FRANCE maker's mark, providing direct attribution. Vannes-le-Châtel in Lorraine, France, became known for bold, exceptionally heavy decorative crystal forms during the mid-to-late 20th century. Large freeform examples such as this make particularly impressive statement pieces.
