Description: An antique Sicilian Louis XIV chest of drawers dating from the mid-18th century. The decoration is typical of 18th-century Sicilian style, featuring the classic contrasting reserve pattern and gilded bronze vents and handles. The two corner panels and the top are highlighted by elegant wooden borders arranged “end-to-end.” The two-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful decorative motif that is repeated on the sides as well. The two cabriolet legs end in a block-shaped foot and are connected by a mixed-line apron.
General Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional method of hand-applied shellac and alcohol.
