Striking 1983 limited-edition lithograph titled “Sioux Dream” by American artist Frank Howell (1937–1997).
The composition features Howell’s highly detailed portraiture paired with delicate linear passages and stylized birds in flight, creating the ethereal, windswept quality characteristic of his work.
Hand signed, titled, dated and numbered 96/100 in pencil along the lower margin. This example is from a small edition of only 100.
The sheet measures approximately 22” x 30”, consistent with documented examples of Sioux Dream. It is presented under glass with a deep brown mat in a substantial wood frame accented with gilt detailing.
Frank Howell was an American artist known particularly for figurative works and lithographs. His imagery frequently incorporates portraiture, wind, landscape and symbolic elements. Sioux Dream is a documented Howell lithograph from 1983.
