Large cumulus clouds fill the upper three quarters, massed in white and pale gray with blue gray shadows on their undersides, and deep blue sky opening between them across the middle and upper left. The clouds flatten into low horizontal layers as they reach the horizon. A range of blue mountains runs the full width beneath, with tan and olive on the sunlit ridges, and a row of dark conifers marks the base of the slope. The bottom edge is a band of bright green meadow. Blue and white carry the picture, with green holding the bottom.

The painting measures 36 inches high by 48 inches wide. It is framed and ready to hang, and measures 37 by 49 inches framed. The frame is shown in the photographs. Signed by the artist.
