The central flag is rendered in dimensional wool or yarn with a wonderfully tactile, almost hooked-rug quality. It is surrounded by an intricate openwork textile incorporating knotted cords, woven satin ribbon and generous fringe. The juxtaposition of the traditional red, white and blue flag against the muted, feminine palette gives the piece an especially distinctive character.

Presented under glass against a neutral linen-like ground and housed in a distressed, crackle-finish white wood frame. The substantial 29-inch-square format gives it enough presence to hang on its own while also making it an excellent addition to a collected gallery wall.
