This painting dates to the 1980s and depicts an outdoor market on the coast of Southern California.
This oil on canvas painting is the work of California artist, Rosalie Copeland (1939-2025).
Copeland was an extremely talented artist based in North Hollywood. She worked with all mediums of art, mastering her skills in painting, pottery, textile, jewelry, and intricate multi media collage.
This masterpiece has elements of post impressionism and figurative realism. It exhibits much vibrance and gusto. One can almost feel the ocean breeze when viewing.
