Double-sided porcelain sign for Opel-branded service stations. Opel is a German automobile manufacturer formerly owned by GM from 1929-2017. The sign was manufactured by Walker & Company of Detriot, MI, who specialized in outdoor advertising and became so ubiquitous that in the 1950s, ninety-five percent of auto company and dealer signs were produced by Walker & Co.
