Dimes, his father began making his first Windsor chair in 1964 from a basement in Kingston, New Hampshire, later moving to a barn in Epping, NH, where he developed his craft.
The business gained national attention in 1976 when a writing armchair was promoted for the U.S. Bicentennial, and Dr. Dimes became known as the only chairmaker producing museum‑quality Windsor chairs. This furniture has been commissioned by the most prestigious museums and collectors of early American furniture in the United States.

This table and chair set was handcrafted by famous wood crafter Douglas Richard Dimes in his New Hampshire workshop.

The set comes with the DR Dimes Farm table with the black painted bottom and Tiger Maple top and comes with two company boards (leaves) that are 14" in depth. The table measures 72x37 and then when the two company boards are inserted it extends to 100" long.

The Chairs comprise of two bow-back windsor arm chairs and 4 bow-back windsor side chairs in black paint with natural distress.

This dining set remains in good condition with slight signs of use and small surface scratches in a few areas. See less
