Handcrafted solid huali wood hinged jewelry box adorned with elaborate mother-of-pearl shell marquetry on the lid. The inlay artwork features a pair of mandarin ducks, a classic Chinese symbol of love, harmony and marital bliss, set among decorative foliage details.
The front is fitted with antique-inspired brass lock hardware, flanked by polished green stone embellishments set in decorative metal mounts. The wood has a rich warm variegated brown grain with a smooth aged finish. The hinged interior provides storage space for rings, earrings, necklaces, seals, stamps and small precious keepsakes.
This striking decorative wooden box is an elegant Chinoiserie accent for dressers, vanity tables, desks and console tables. A wonderful statement piece for Asian, oriental and eclectic home interiors.
