This impressive vintage Chinese box is a striking example of traditional craftsmanship. Crafted from dense, richly grained hardwood (rosewood or huali wood style), this large rectangular box features a spectacular "Mother of Pearl" (shell) inlay on the lid.
Key Features:
Iconic "Two Dragons" Motif: The lid is beautifully inlaid with a classic "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl" (二龙戏珠) design. The iridescent shell depicts two detailed, white dragons flanking a central red pearl, surrounded by stylized cloud motifs. This is a powerful symbol of good luck, wisdom, and protection in Chinese culture.
Warm Wood Grain: The rosewood-style wood features a beautiful, warm amber-brown tone with a prominent, natural grain pattern. The surface has a smooth, aged patina that highlights its vintage character.
