Presenting a magnificent vintage Chinese storage box (treasure chest), finely crafted from dense Huali Rosewood with a rich, warm patina and striking "ox-hair" grain. The lid and front panels are beautifully inlaid with mother-of-pearl depicting birds amidst blooming branches, a classic "birds and flowers" motif symbolizing harmony and joy, framed by delicate scrolling foliate borders along the edges. The box is secured with brass hinges, a traditional circular lock plate, and carrying handles on the sides, and is constructed with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. The interior is spacious and unlined, perfect for storing jewelry, seals, or small treasures, while also serving as a refined decorative accent for a desk, vanity, or collector's display.
