A very useful and quite rare item, wonderful gift suitable use includes Lady's or Gentleman's Jewelery storage box or perhaps a stunning Gentleman's Cigar Box

The hinged lid cross banded in satinwood, fabulously inlaid with a large central circular conch shell, the front area with similar inlaid decoration, all areas are decorated with satinwood stringing. 

Condition: Good condition with nice patination and no losses. Lock is present, a later key is also present but does not activate the lock. The woven dark green fabric inside cover and main body has been later professionally replaced, very nicely done.  

Height: (entire) 5.5" (14cm). Width: (at top rim) 9.75" (24.5cm). Depth: 5.25” (13.5cm).
