A striking studio craft geometric pattern gives this pair of hand-turned wood table lamps their distinctive art deco character reminiscent of Danish modern style.

Contrasting light and dark woods form sweeping stripes, rounded ovals, and bulbous teardrop shapes across sculpture-like bodies, with striped circular bases completing the design.

The laminated woodwork creates changing patterns around each curved surface, combining graphic contrast with the warmth and texture of natural grain. Rounded forms and narrow waists give the lamps a playful silhouette, balanced by coordinating neutral tapered shades.

- The type of wood is UNKNOWN / UNCONFIRMED -- doesn't seem to be teak or pearwood; doesn't seem to be pine or mahogany... could be walnut, with possible turned oaky or ash, and some kind of maple. Not sure!
- Method/technique/approach : may be inlaid or segmented-- can't tell; uncertain. Parquetry, marquetry...? Studio-made, possibly. Hobbyist? Probably a step above that. High-end/well-known designer or artist? Probably not.
- The era? Mid-century, probably. Estate originally said 1940s; a friend of mine with expertise said 1960s or 1970s is more likely. I truly do not know, and don't want to be misleading about their age, the specific kind of wood, or how they were put together... I just know they are really cool-looking!
- Style: I would call it art deco / MCM / mod / boho.

These patchwork pop art lamps are sold as a pair, with both shades included.
Approximately 24 inches tall each.
Both lamps have been tested and are working.
Corded electric; bulbs not included by default, but can be upon request, if necessary.

Unmarked; maker, exact production date, and wood species are unknown. (folk art / pop art - probably part of the American Studio Craft Movement.)

They are not signed; however the apparent Euro *influence* looks similar to, *styled after*, or *inspired by* the likes of masters like Tarquin Bilgen, Philip Lloyd Powell, Henrik Blomqvist, Bob Stocksdale, and Bendtsens Møbelsnedkeri. (Similar in vibe and craft -- not claiming that these lamps are by any of these makers.) See less
