The original provenance tag identifies the weaver as Goodnes Hiabisa. Approximately 7.5 inches × 8.5 inches. Handwoven using indigenous natural materials with geometric patterns in warm natural, brown, black and muted tones. Ilala palm fiber wrapped over a grass or reed coil, with natural dyes. The basket retains its original “Traditional Zulu Baskets” tag describing the traditional basket-making process in KwaZulu-Natal. See less
