Another handsome chip-carved tramp art box. This one has silver and gold painted on the exterior, and silver paint on the interior. The silver paint is stronger on the sides, than on the front and back.
It also has it's beautiful original chromolithograph "Asamo" lid interior. I've tried to research Asamo, but haven't had any luck.
There is a small, dainty clasp at the front to latch the box shut.
There are initials signed on the bottom, but it is unclear who the artist was. Date of creation unknown. Dated to early 1900s as a rough estimate this came from the tramp art era.
