This special chair, designed by Dan Johnson for Selig, is immediately eye catching for its district midcentury shape and use of brass in the design.
This particular chair appears to have its original ivory colored vinyl upholstery, which is remarkably clean and intact with only minor small blemishes. The brass shows patina, adding to its character and demonstrating authentic age. The wood tone is lighter than it appears in most of the photos, and is most accurate in the photo with the black background.
This Viscount chair will be an stylish addition to midcentury, Italian modern, Scandinavian, or contemporary interiors. It would fit very nicely into interiors using a warm, neutral palette.

- This Viscount chair is in original vintage condition, with original upholstery, cushioning and hardware. The wood, brass and upholstery have … moreThis Viscount chair is in original vintage condition, with original upholstery, cushioning and hardware. The wood, brass and upholstery have had gentle surface cleaning to great effect. Minor imperfections consistent with age are present, but are visually minimized through proper maintenance and cleaning with products appropriate for the materials. The seat upholstery has a small pink spot, ~2mm. The black material covering the seat bottom has loss and fraying, but does not affect use or in situ appearance. Brass appears to have loss of original surface lacquer and shows patina and color variation. Additional photos available on request. less
