Industrial painted pine hardware store counter or merchant's workbench featuring a plank top with rounded front corners and a full-length lower storage shelf. The front apron retains hand-painted directional lettering reading "BOLTS ~~ SCREWS ~~ NAILS →," reflecting its original commercial use in a hardware store or lumberyard. The open construction and long lower shelf provided accessible storage for boxed hardware, tools, and merchandise. The painted surface retains substantial character from decades of use, including visible ghost marks on the top where equipment or merchandise was once positioned.
