Bamboo Mirror 52*65 cm
Antique mirror with a turned wood frame imitating bamboo (faux bamboo), featuring characteristic carved knots and beveled ends reminiscent of cut stalks.
This style, very fashionable in France at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries under the influence of a taste for exoticism and chinoiserie, can be found in bedroom furniture (beds, nightstands, towel racks) as well as in mirrors and frames, made of native wood (often beech or walnut) turned and stained to imitate natural bamboo.
The mirror has a warm patina and a lovely curve to the frame, making it a piece that is both decorative and functional. It can be hung in an entryway, bedroom, or bathroom for a touch of vintage and travel-inspired style.
The mirror is in good condition with very minimal signs of age.
