Large Empire-style chandelier in gilded iron with gold leaf, glass, and cut crystal, made in Italy in the 1940s.
The chandelier features a distinctive hot air balloon shape, composed of numerous chains with small cylindrical elements in clear glass. The decoration includes rosettes, faceted prisms, and large pendant drops in cut crystal.
The construction lacks the traditional rigid internal structure; the chandelier is supported by a series of internal chains, giving the composition a visually light and airy appearance.
It has 13 lights: 12 external ones with E14 sockets and one internal one with E27 sockets.
Dimensions: diameter 100 cm; total height as photographed 140 cm. The height can be increased by adding rings to the suspension chain.
