Nason & cie, handcrafted in murano, italy, in smoked gray and clear glass. The substantial square form is composed of a smoked gray glass interior encased within a thick matrix of translucent clear murano glass. Its deeply recessed bowl contrasts with the precise geometric exterior, while the faceted sides, crisp corners, and hand-polished surfaces create shifting optical effects as light passes through the different layers of glass. Viewed from the side, the darker inner layer appears suspended within the clear body, emphasizing the considerable thickness and sculptural quality of the glass. The restrained square geometry and smoky coloration are characteristic of italian decorative glass of the period. The original v. Nason & cie murano italy label remains affixed to the exterior. Very good vintage condition. No chips or damage, with only minor surface wear to the polished base. All edges and corners remain intact. Dimensions: h 8 cm / 3.15 in × w 9 cm / 3.54 in × l 9.7 cm / 3.82 in. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
