the chairs have a restrained architectural construction, balancing straight square-section legs and rails with a single curved plywood shell forming the seat and tall backrest. A subtle upward curve at the front of the seat gives the otherwise geometric silhouette a softer sculptural quality, while the rounded upper corners of the backrest introduce another gentle counterpoint. Some variation in tone is visible between the chairs. The set presents well overall, with the age-related wear contributing to its original vintage character.
