Rendered entirely by hand on jute with layered gesso and Old World finishing techniques — crackle, depth, patina. The raw deckled edges are intentional, a hallmark of the fragment aesthetic. A gorgeous conch shell rendered in the style of antique natural history illustration, set against a weathered white ground. Then printed for a truly unique find. From Michele Stone’s Sea is Calling Collection, presented in a floating acrylic frame with polished gold standoffs. No two pieces are alike.
