This is a vintage Chinese lucky ‘Foo Dog’ brass incense burner. This was originally made completely of high quality brass and it’s design is inspired by traditional Chinese culture featuring a Foo Dog lid that is said to bring good fortune and prosperity. This particular incense burner looks like it has been shot on one side and then a leg came off the other side. It appears someone has carefully recreated a leg to match and soldered the hole on the front closed – maybe it really is a very lucky foo dog incense burner!
