Each chair is built on a triangular seat frame supported by four turned and faceted legs, with a low, curved backrest running around two sides. The back is fitted with three vertical splats per side, the outer pair carved in a wavy, razorblade-shaped cutout that has become a signature of Kjærnulf's output. Top rail is shaped in solid oak, following the curve of the backrest with a raised centre crest at the corner post. Seat is upholstered in a striped brown and oatmeal wool weave, set within a simple oak frame.

The heavy, sculptural turning of the legs and the pierced splat backs place this within the Danish Brutalist and rustic-modern crossover of the period, an oak-forward alternative to the teak seating more commonly seen from the same decade.
