Stool designed by Josef Frank in 1927, Vienna Austria. Made from cherry wood with shellac coating that has been applied by hand. The seat covering is rattan and has a shellack finish. The construction is made from dark and lighter pieces of cherry wood. This is a beautiful combination of materials brought together creating a timeless design. There is a small crack in the leg that has been repaired. The shellack has been refreshed on the wood. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
