This specific vanity table stands as a brilliant tribute to that magnificent era, showcasing meticulous geometric diamond parquetry, finely chased ormolu mounts, and a functional three-part folding top that reflects the strict academic rigor of the finest French neoclassical traditions.

This elegant French neoclassical dressing table and vanity desk features a unique three-part hinged top decorated with stunning geometric diamond marquetry veneer. The central section opens upward to reveal a built-in vanity mirror, while the side compartments provide practical storage for cosmetics, jewelry, or daily essentials. When closed, it can double beautifully as a compact writing table or console desk.

The table has been carefully restored and is in very good, clean vintage condition. The wood has been finished with a traditional French polish, giving it a beautiful, authentic sheen. All brass hardware and fittings have been thoroughly cleaned and shined. Crucially, the interior is clean, fresh, and completely free of any old or unpleasant odors.

As a genuine antique, the wooden top panels have slightly warped with time and are not perfectly flat. This is completely natural for a piece of this age, very minor. It doesn’t affect the functionality at all, and any lover of antique furniture will see it as a beautiful sign of its history.

The vanity table shows signs of historical stabilization, including minor structural misalignments and slight wood offsets at some joints. These are the results of an older, secure glue repair combined with the natural drying and shifting of the wood over the decades. This detail does not affect the functionality of the piece in any way; the table remains completely sturdy and solid, ready to serve its new owner beautifully for many years to come.
The original brass lock and finely chased gilt-bronze escutcheon remain beautifully preserved; please note that the piece is offered without a key, which is common for authentic period furniture of this age.
