Low-profile modernist coffee table featuring a square oak top supported by a minimalist chromed steel frame. The construction is clean and architectural, with bent tubular steel legs forming a continuous support structure beneath the top. The oak surface shows a warm, even grain with a lightly finished sheen, contrasting against the cool reflective chrome. An original Stendig label is affixed to the underside, confirming manufacture and import.
Stendig International, founded by Charles Stendig, was instrumental in bringing European modern design to the American market, importing high-quality furnishings from Scandinavia and Central Europe during the mid-20th century.
