Each lamp features an elongated classical urn silhouette composed of exceptionally heavy, clear 24% lead crystal. The elaborate cutting is particularly beautiful: deep, sweeping flame-like cuts create swirling movement around the central body, while elongated oval and leaf cuts, horizontal dividing bands, dense geometric cutting and deeply fluted sections animate the crystal from the upper shoulder through the broad pedestal foot. Repeated thumbprint-style borders provide a crisp architectural finish around the neck, shoulder and foot.

The transparent construction allows each lamp’s central structural rod to remain visible—a distinctive feature of its traditional lamp-making construction that introduces a warm bronze-colored vertical accent within the refracting crystal.

An original foil label remains present and reads “HANDCUT 24% LEAD CRYSTAL — MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA,” together with the Crystal Clear Industries name.

For the restoration, the original metal components were refinished in a coordinated custom Venetian bronze. This sophisticated, layered finish combines warm brown-black bronze with restrained copper variation and subtle aged-gold highlighting along selected raised edges. The round bases, upper collars, socket covers, harp saddles, adjustable harps and finial fittings have been coordinated for a unified appearance.

Both lamps have been fitted with new three-way electrical components, decorative antique-bronze key-style switch knobs and new cloth-covered electrical cords. Four-position adjustable harps are set at approximately 11 inches, providing flexibility for fine-tuning the shade position.

Large clear crystal teardrop finials crown the pair. Each finial measures approximately 2¾ inches high and 1.3 inches wide, with crisp multifaceted cutting, an elongated rounded silhouette, a petal-shaped metal cradle and a turned, knurled collar finished to coordinate with the Venetian-bronze hardware.

The lamps are paired with extra-large cream linen box-pleated empire shades by Aspen Creative. Each substantial shade measures 7½ inches across the top, 18 inches across the bottom and 13½ inches along the slant. Deep, rounded box pleats form a dramatic petal-like rhythm around the upper and lower edges, while the warm cream linen softens the brilliance of the crystal and complements its elaborate swirling cuts. The shades use standard spider fitters.

Elegant enough for a formal living room, grand bedroom or substantial entry console, this matched pair combines the weight and brilliance of vintage Yugoslavian lead crystal with a carefully considered contemporary restoration. Their generous proportions, coordinated bronze detailing and sculptural pleated shades make them especially effective as a symmetrical statement pair.
