Combining … Read more This rare early-20th-century Judaica greeting postcard depicts a stylishly dressed couple taking flight in a monoplane (early aviator motif). Combining modern technological wonder (aviation) with traditional Jewish holiday greetings, this card was issued for Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). Printed using a color tinted photo-lithograph process with subtle hand-tinting effects, it features a romantic pair in Edwardian/1910s attire riding in an open cockpit monoplane while holding a flower bouquet and a white flag bearing the Hebrew greeting L'Shanah Tovah.

The postcard features multilingual layout elements on the reverse side: Russian (ПОЧТОВАЯ КАРТОЧКА), German (POSTKARTE), French (CARTE POSTALE), and Polish (POCZTÓWKA). At the bottom center of the reverse, it bears the imprint Verlag „Central“ alongside a circular Yiddish publisher mark (פארלאג צענטראל - Farlag Tsentral). Printed in Warsaw, Poland during the Late Imperial Russian / Pre-WWI period (c. 1910–1914), card number 1128 appears in the lower corner.

Authenticity Assessment
This postcard exhibits key markers of genuine pre-WWI European Judaica postcards:

Publisher Imprint: Clear Verlag "Central" imprint on the back along with the authentic Yiddish circular publisher seal (פארלאג צענטראל). Verlag Central was one of the premier Jewish publishing houses in Warsaw active prior to and during WWI.

Paper & Typography: Period-accurate rag cardstock showing natural aging, oxidation, and proper vintage typography (mixture of Yiddish, Polish, German, and Russian, consistent with Partition-era Poland under Russian Empire jurisdiction).

Cardstock Numbering: Stamped with card design number 1128 on both front and reverse margin, standard for Verlag Central print series.
