The standalone engineered pedestal base remains structurally rock-solid and heavy-set. Consistent with its authentic mid-century handling history, there is minor, stable edge chipping present on exactly three of the twelve hand-tooled vertical lotus petals circling the central mortise receiver. These micro-nicks are historic, completely static, and confined strictly to the raised outer lips of the petal tips, with zero structural impact on the deep internal socket joinery. The tenon-and-mortise peg assembly locks together tightly with perfect physical equilibrium. The wood surfaces have been meticulously maintained, possessing a beautifully uniform, warm golden-cinnamon natural satin finish that highlights the native concentric growth rings of the timber.
