The circular upper surface is surrounded by a pierced brass-tone gallery and features a highly decorative geometric brown-and-amber inset creating a rich faux-tortoiseshell appearance. A smaller lower circular tier provides additional display space and repeats the pierced gallery detail.

Three slender faux-bamboo legs are joined by a triangular lower stretcher, while cast elephant heads positioned beneath the upper gallery give the table its unmistakable Hollywood Regency / British Colonial character.
