A striking pair of vintage table lamps by Palecek, crafted with tall architectural bases in a rich black finish and oversized natural-fiber drum shades embellished with genuine coconut shell discs and embroidered geometric motifs.
The sculptural bases have a faceted, tapered column form set over stepped square plinths, giving the lamps a strong modern silhouette. The neutral linen-toned shades contrast beautifully with the dark bases and feature applied coconut shell rounds arranged between hand-worked diamond motifs.
Shades and Lamps retain their original Palecek / Made in Philippines labels. Palecek is particularly known for incorporating natural materials such as coconut shell, rattan and other hand-worked organic elements into its lighting designs; coconut shell continues to appear throughout the company's current lighting line.
