These chairs were … Read more Elegant set of eight dining chairs from Bernhardt’s Centennial Collection, comprising six side chairs and two armchairs. These chairs were acquired with the matching Bernhardt Centennial dining table and feature the collection’s traditional Georgian/Chippendale styling, rich mahogany finish, carved shell crests, shaped vase splats, cabriole legs and ball-and-claw feet.

The chairs feature richly finished mahogany frames with shaped and carved crest rails centered by shell motifs, graceful vase-form splats displaying attractive figured wood grain, serpentine seat rails and cabriole front legs terminating in traditional ball-and-claw feet. The two host chairs feature gracefully shaped arms with carved hand rests.

The removable upholstered seats are finished in a fresh cream textile with a striking navy blue coral-inspired pattern, giving the traditional frames a crisp, updated coastal look.

A substantial and beautifully proportioned set suitable for a formal dining room, traditional interior, coastal residence or collected eclectic setting.
