An exceptionally decorative vintage table lamp distinguished by its luminous satin-glass body, layered gilded finishes, and beautifully articulated metalwork. Dating to approximately the 1960s–1970s, the lamp captures the polished glamour of Hollywood Regency design while retaining a versatile ivory-and-gold palette suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The substantial spherical glass body combines softly frosted ivory-white glass with a broad metallic-gold band. Raised white arabesque scrollwork encircles the center, creating a lace-like dimensional surface that becomes especially striking when viewed up close. Fine concentric gold bands accentuate the globe’s rounded profile and introduce a refined architectural rhythm.
Above the glass body, an elaborate antiqued gold-tone metal standard features layered acanthus leaves, gadrooning, beading, and classically inspired molded ornament. The base is equally considered, with a pierced gallery of repeating oval and diamond openings set above a broad stepped circular plinth. The combination of matte satin glass, reflective gilding, raised decoration, and aged metal gives the lamp exceptional visual depth.
Shown with and including its tailored ivory-white paneled bell shade. The restrained shade provides a clean counterpoint to the ornate base and allows the lamp’s sculptural details to remain the focus.
For designers, this lamp offers an ideal balance of presence and versatility. Its symmetrical form and tonal white-and-gold coloring would work beautifully on an entry console, living-room side table, bedroom nightstand, library table, or traditional writing desk. It is particularly well suited to Hollywood Regency, Palm Beach, Grandmillennial, Neoclassical, traditional maximalist, French-inspired, and glamorous transitional interiors.

Very good vintage condition. The satin-glass body is intact, with no observed chips or cracks. The raised white arabesque decoration remains notably complete and well defined. Minor age-appropriate surface marks, subtle variation or rubbing to portions of the gilt decoration, and light patina and finish variation to the metal components are present. The visible vertical meeting point within the metallic-gold band is original to the decorative application and is not a crack or repair. The lamp retains its socket, harp, cord, and current paneled shade. As with all vintage lighting, professional inspection is recommended before extended use.
