The brooch is set throughout with rose-cut diamonds of approximately 1.20 carats total weight. At the center sits an old-cut diamond of approximately 0.30 carats, estimated G/H color and VS clarity. The brooch shows traces of restoration consistent with its age and the delicacy of its construction, and minor wear to the fabric on the reverse.
