This rare early 20th-century Chinese architectural panel features a pair of long-tailed pheasants among lush floral foliage, carved in deep relief and finished with traces of both gilding and silver leaf. A century of natural aging has softened the surface into a beautifully textured patina — a rare survivor with no direct comparison currently available on the market.
Mounted on a solid wood backplate with a 2 cm floating gap, the openwork carving casts delicate shadows against the light surface. Ready to hang with pre-installed hardware.
