Early 20th Century Directoire Revival Marble Top Chest Of Drawers Circa 1920.
We are pleased to offer this 1920's commode very much in the taste of the late 18th century directoire movement, which happened before the empire style with it's influences from greco-roman and Egyptian motifs.
Over-sailing marble top, which shaped canted corners. Each of the 3 drawers is beaded with brass and brass hardware. Even the canted corners with fluted detailing is lined with brass, further decorated with roundels. Standing on 4 tapered legs, with brass mounts and feet tips. Beautifully veneered in flame mahogany drawer fronts. Working locks and key.
Minor losses to marble top, which is loose fitting for easy transport. Recently re-polished in our workshop, maintaining it's stunning colour. ready for everyday use.
