The substantial cabinet is constructed from solid mahogany, combining the durability required for workshop use with the craftsmanship traditionally associated with fine furniture.

Exposed dovetail joints are visible along the upper corners, demonstrating the cabinet’s carefully fitted construction. The richly figured mahogany displays warm reddish-brown tones and prominent vertical grain across the exterior panels.

The cabinet opens to reveal a fitted interior with a large central equipment compartment, three graduated accessory drawers, and additional open storage. The small drawers would have provided organized storage for dressing tools, measuring components, replacement parts, and other precision accessories associated with the wheel dresser.

Original brass pulls remain on the drawer fronts. A hinged panel converts into a work surface, allowing the precision equipment to be set up and operated directly from its protective cabinet. Metal rails and mounting elements remain visible within the lower compartment.

Although purpose-built for industrial machinery, the chest could be repurposed as an unusual storage cabinet, compact workstation, bar cabinet, or sculptural industrial furnishing. The listing is for the cabinet; the original Diaform wheel-dressing equipment is not shown.
