A superb Napoleon III style writing table, dating from the 19th century, richly decorated with marquetry of precious woods.
The tabletop, with a central floral motif, is adorned with marquetry lines and geometric patterns. Its two drop leaves allow the width to be extended to 118.5 cm when the table is open.
The front opens with a wide drawer decorated with marquetry scrolls and plant motifs. The whole rests on four turned and blackened legs, enhanced with gilt bronze elements, joined by an elegant X-shaped stretcher.
A refined and particularly decorative piece, ideal as a writing table, small desk, or side table.
