Giovanni Zorris was an Italian painter active primarily between the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century; he typically painted rural landscapes and country scenes. His primary technique was oil on canvas or canvas-covered cardboard panels. Based on his technique, he can be classified an artist belonging to the Lombard School. He was in the habit of painting delicate flowers—such as dandelions—against very dark backgrounds to make them appear illuminated. The small, narrow, vertical format is also characteristic of his work. The black wooden frame shows the signs of the time but it is in good conditions, never restored.
